Electromobility is a concept that we encounter more and more often. And it is slowly finding its way into our lives. In 2020, more than 285,000 electric vehicle charging stations were spread across Europe (including Turkey). This year, two were added in front of the Spolcentrum hotel.
This hotel has a relatively long history. But like the companies of the Chemosvit group, it welcomes innovations and changes that contribute to the improvement of environmental care.
At the beginning of 2021, two AC charging stations were put into operation in the hotel parking lot. Each station has an output of up to 22 kW, while charging takes from 1.5 to 10 hours (depending on the vehicle’s on-board charger). The charging station also has 16 A socket-outlets, which will be appreciated by owners of e-bikes and e-scooters.
The operation of charging stations is controlled by Greenway Infrastructure, s.r.o., as part of the GreenWay Care partner programme.
The use of the AC charging station ensures comfortable charging for owners of electric vehicles with a longer parking time (1 hour or more), as the power of such charging is limited. It depends on the specific vehicle and does not allow full charging within a short timescale.
Charging can be started by tapping an RFID card, which is available in the Spolcentrum hotel, together with the charging cable. Every GreenWay cardholder also has this option. Such identification will make it possible to distinguish how much each user has charged and thus to calculate the costs related to charging accurately.
These stations are available not only to guests and visitors of the hotel but also to people from the general public who prefer more environmentally friendly modes of transport. We believe that the number of electric cars, as well as the number of charging stations in Svit, will grow over time.
