On 27 September 2022, Šamorín hosted the second edition of the Export Forum, bringing together entrepreneurs, economic diplomats and representatives of state institutions. We were represented by the CEO of Chemosvit Group and the Managing Director of Chemosvit Fibrochem, who received a golden plaque from the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs.

Export in focus

The Export Forum is one of the most important events of Slovak economic diplomacy. In addition to exporters, representatives of organisations and institutions supporting Slovak exporters, ambassadors accredited in Slovakia also participated in the event.

Along with the presentation of export-promoting services of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic and other institutions, exporters had the opportunity to consult with economic diplomats from all embassies of the Slovak Republic. The programme also included a conference and company awards

Our CEO also participated in a discussion

The conference part consisted of two panel discussions. The first was entitled “Capacity Building to Strengthen the Resilience and Competitiveness of Slovak Companies” and was also attended by Jaroslav Mervart, our CEO and Chairman of the Board.

Together with Ingrid Brocková, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Dušan Velič, State Secretary of the Ministry of Investment, Regional Development and Informatization of the Slovak Republic, Mário Lelovský, Vice President of the Republican Union of Employers and Vice President of the IT Association of Slovakia and Želmíra Komorechová, owner of KOMPAVA s. r. o., they discussed building the Slovak economy in times of crisis, maintaining the competitiveness of exporters and the diversification of supply-supply chains.

Discussion with executive director

Jaroslav Mervart stressed the need for active cooperation of business entities and employers’ associations with the Government of the Slovak Republic and individual ministries, which will contribute to a mutual understanding of what needs to be addressed and what tools are available.

This is important not only to overcome difficult situations such as pandemics, high inflation or the energy crisis, but also to set long-term development programmes for the Slovak economy.

An award for Chemosvit Fibrochem

At the end of the event, Slovak companies that successfully export their products abroad while promoting the reputation of Slovakia were awarded. Criteria such as the innovativeness of products and services or support for sustainable development were evaluated and selected.

In addition to representatives of MicroStep-MIS and ESET, Alena Balogová, Managing Director of Chemosvit Fibrochem, also received an award. Rastislav Káčer, the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, presented the golden plaque to her.
