192 countries, 6 months and 25 million visitors expected – this is the latest edition of the World Expo in figures. This unique event has regularly introduced innovations from the first live TV broadcast to the popcorn debut throughout its history. Our subsidiary Chemosvit Fibrochem also presented its products at the Expo.
Introduction of innovative technologies
The World Expo is taking place in Dubai this time. In addition to countries, multinational companies, educational institutions and non-governmental organizations are presented there from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022.
The main theme is “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”. Emphasis is placed on environmental aspects and meeting the requirements of sustainable development of the Earth. Following the main theme, three subthemes were created: opportunity, mobility and sustainability.
Slovakia presents itself with a national pavilion with an area of 1550 m² within the theme of mobility. It is intended to be a bridge that connects opportunities and people, goods and ideas, thus facilitating access to knowledge, innovation and markets. The country presents a comprehensive hydrogen program, aviation exhibits and sustainable mobile housing.
New contacts from the healthcare sector
Chemosvit Fibrochem presented itself in the Slovak pavilion during the “Health and Wellness” week. Colleagues presented the history of Chemosvit, its current focus, vision and products from the Prolen® Medical line. In addition to preparing the presentation and the workshop, they participated in several thematically related workshops.
We have established cooperation with the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Health and Prevention. As part of networking events, we managed to establish contacts with the Indian Ministry of Economy, and we also attracted the attention of health professionals from Japan. Moreover, cooperation with companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Hungary has been agreed.
