Improvement has been an integral part of the work system since the training of employees in Baťa’s school of work. It also played a critical role during the former Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, when, in addition to management, it was also supported by the trade union (ROH). Innovation still has its place in the company today.
When employees come up with suggestions for improvement, big or small, it is the role of management to support their efforts. To create the conditions, motivate or control how ideas are implemented. Only then will an innovative approach become a part of corporate DNA and a standard for everyone.
It is also important for employees to feel that their ideas are welcome. They should also know and understand the importance of improvement for the company and, accordingly, take an active approach to innovations in their workplace. Work, which includes an innovative approach, is more creative and interesting.
We feel that innovations are also beneficial in terms of customers and the prospects of the company. Reducing costs and optimizing production parameters may not be enough in the long run. Companies that are well aware of customer requirements and actively respond to them have a significantly higher rating on the market. Innovation thus directly supports their competitiveness and perspective.
Therefore, we want to propose changes within a short period of time that will ensure better management and software support, motivation and a comprehensive evaluation of the entire process. Our goal is to increase the number of suggestions for improvements and thus contribute not only to the prospect of the company but especially to customer and employee satisfaction.
It is the people who work for us that are the driving force of innovation in the company. Young employees who bring new ideas to the company from the outside, as well as long-term. Loyal employees who know exactly which company processes should be improved. After all, innovation is about people.
